What it is
Mainstream DNA testing services have repeatedly let users down on privacy — genetic data has been exposed in breaches and shared in ways customers didn’t expect. SovereignDNA is a privacy-preserving alternative: software you run yourself that interprets your DNA on your own device. Your raw DNA never leaves it — only privacy-protected statistics are ever shared, to help science move forward.
What The Beast did
We helped build it. The Beast designed and wrote the software — the private network, the web app, membership and payments — working with the project’s founder. We also launched its $DNA token.
How long it took
From written spec to a live network with a web app in about a week (July 15–21, 2026). The $DNA token went live on July 21.
The privacy point is factual, not fear-mongering: large consumer-DNA breaches are on the public record. SovereignDNA’s answer is architectural — the DNA simply never leaves your device. The software is open source (MIT).
